This is my project :) Its been a work in progress for 8 years now and for the first time I can honesty say it's getting to the point where I'm happy with It :o

Its a 88 golf with all the running gear and engine from an Audi S2.

That is awesome! :D Any more details?

I'm sure I've seen that space framed front end before somewhere. Did that car used to compete? Maybe at Santa Pod?

Hi Alex, It's probably not my car you've seen at pod as I've only been once, I use it for occasional drag racing and track days and its registered on the road.
I've also read the posts about your mk2 golf and appreciate the amount of work you've put in.

Engine wise it has
Standard ABY block
Standard crank
Wossner 82.5mm pistons 8:1 CR (2308cc)
Scat H profile rods
Standard cylinder head and valves
7a cams (from the non turbo 2.3 engine)
Garrett GT35r turbo
4" downpipe and 3.5" exhaust
5 x siemens 630cc injectors in standard position
5 x siemens 875cc injectors spray direct into stacks
2 x Bosch 044 pumps
DTA S100 ecu
Power is estimated at 600hp and 700hp with a dry nitrous shot.

Transmissions is taken directly from an Audi S2 avant and is bog standard, apart from the prop being shortened to fit in the golf shell.

The chassis has a set of KW coilovers, and front/rear adjustable blade anti roll bars keeping it on the black stuff.

Stopping is done by Porsche (brembo) monoblock 4 pots on 314mm disks.

Hopefully we'll cross paths soon, maybe a track day?

Cheers Baz.
