Does anyone use them for data logged channels? which sensors do you use? I want to run oil and fuel pressure on my build but trying to ideally find some OEM sensors as they should be reliable and less expensive then Motorsport items.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Fuel/oil pressure sensors
Use Honeywell or TI - My opinion is that OEM sensors aren't overly reliable in oem situations, let alone under motorsport conditions.
I have changed enough oem oil pressure sensors to know that they are certainly no more reliable than a motorsport one - and often more expensive.

You recommend something like http://uk.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Hone ... sqFf8hU%3d
Seems to be a little difficult to find some where that will let me order 2...
Have found these but I think they are a electromechanical sensor as they have two wires...

Re: Fuel/oil pressure sensors
I get mine here http://www.msel.co.nz/epages/motorsport ... NPRETHA150 but am in NZ so it's convenient for me.
The one you linked is 3wire actually, would work.

Re: Fuel/oil pressure sensors
I use VDO 10bar sensors, not the cheap one but does the job

one of these? - http://www.vdo.com/generator/www/com/en ... rs_en.htmlRaceCommo wrote:I use VDO 10bar sensors, not the cheap one but does the job
have also found these not sure how good they are but seem to be the right price and look like they use the delphi 3 pin connector...have asked a few questions regarding these...

Also - LS1-LS7 use these oil pressure sensors.

Should be able to work out a cal curve for them without too much difficulty.

Re: Fuel/oil pressure sensors
Those senders - with the 4 flat spades look similar to the ones supplied with SPA guages......which would never work for me - might try again now i've an idea of the pinouts!kaitsu66 wrote:These are very good sensors i am using AMP superseal connector type and 0-5v output.

Yes, passive style. Don't remember what was the part number or type of that sensor. I can look if the sensor have part number in it.Mikey p wrote:one of these? - http://www.vdo.com/generator/www/com/en ... rs_en.htmlRaceCommo wrote:I use VDO 10bar sensors, not the cheap one but does the job
