Or try a better SSR ?
And do you have a flyback diode in place ?
Yea spoken with Alex yesterday and he has given me his recommended choice also noted the need for a diode, which iv checked with the guy who supplied the loom and we don't have one in place... So going to get one sorted also.
Thanks for the advice, worth trying to reduce frequency also to 75/80 if it doesn't affect the workings of the pump / temps to help reduce the load on the circuit do you think?

Jeez - you paid £85 for just a relay ! ! ! Does the pump not have a modulating control box so independent of using engine ecu?
It's not just a relay. It's a Crydom DC SSR
I use the same ( albeit higher current ratings ), it should be perfectly happy at 80Hz. Datasheet says the 20A can do up to 3500Hz.
And it must have flyback diode protection for inductive loads.
Yes there are lots of cheaper ones about, but many cannot handle PWM, many are just plain shite and also intended for AC loads.
Thanks for that, had a good look into it and I see it myself now.
I’m just learning how and where this diode needs fittings I think Iv got my head around it
