I've tried to use DTAswin v90 with my S40pro ECU and am presented with a message saying the firmware is too old. v89 is fine. Is there a minimum firmware to use v90?
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Firmware too old
V70 is the lowest firmware.
You can still use the old style software.

Re: Firmware too old
Thanks Alex. I'll get it updated.
Re: Firmware too old
I managed to disable the PIN thanks.
I’ve made a cable that I’m certain is correct by wiring a button to pins 8 and 13. I’ve double checked it is correct with a multi meter but cannot get my S40pro to go into monitor mode. I’ve tried holding button, switch it off waiting then back on.
I’ve tried holding it then powering on and reloading the monitor. Each time I get the failed message.
Is there anything that can block the flashing? I’ve found there are newer versions of the S10 flasher tool on the net but can’t find a download.
Any ideas at all? I’ve tried many many times.
Thanks.

ST10 can struggle over USB
Try turning down the buffers.

If the unit goes into monitor mode will the fuel pump start?
And are you referring to the serial port buffer settings in windows?
Thanks

If the ecu is in flash mode, no, the fuel pump will not start and you will not have ecu comms on SWin. But the flasher will communicatepoq wrote:If the unit goes into monitor mode will the fuel pump start?

Re: Firmware too old
Ok that’s good to know as it’s a pain keep checking in the flashing software.

The only reason you'd ever be in flash mode is if you were using the flash software ?poq wrote:Ok that’s good to know as it’s a pain keep checking in the flashing software.

Yeh, I’m just saying it’s a pain powering up the unit hoping it goes into flash mode and then checking in the flash app.
But I’ve tried about 100 times now and still doesn’t go into flash mode. The fuel pump starts immediately every single time.
