I have a twin coil pack which i think is my problem looking into them one coil does 1 and 4 cylinder second coil does 2 and 3 am i correct in thinking it sparks on 1 and 4 at same time if on compression firing stroke on 1 then 4 spark is wasted

Yes 1 and 4 will fire at the same time hence wasted spark coil pack
