CPS position vs ignition

Hi,
i am just in the first steps starting a cosworth yb turbo engine, S60 ecu.
Engine runs, checking the ignition with a conventional timing light. Timing set at 16 BTDC in the igniton map at idle rpms. The light shows the timing around 30.
If i had put 235 deg in the sensor position earlier and reduce that number to 220 it will retard my timing by 15 deg?
thanks
