Error - Air temperatures must increase row by row

Post by Mucka »

Hi,

When I try and edit the "Air temp compensation" on my E48 ecu I get this error

Error - Air temperatures must increase row by row

I dont know why it does it when I make one change or 10 changes, any ideas?

Thanks

do your temps increase row by row, if they don't that sounds like you are trying to do that the ecu finds confusing.
Try setting corrections to standard, make sure the temps increase line by line and that you dont have 2 temp entries the same.

the last 5 rows are all 120dgr. how about starting at 0 and increasing each row by 5.

Thanks I changed the 120's and that allowed me to save it.

The strange thing is the standard vw 1800 map that comes with the software is set similar.

Some base maps do have odd values in them, but it only flags an error when you try to make changes.

You need to work from low values up and they must increase from low to high, no duplicate values allowed.

Mucka - you have to realize some of the maps were created back on different versions of DTASWin. So they load, because they are just text files, but the macro that checks to see that things are filled in correctly will run when you alter the table, and then it complains.
