Closed loop gearshift

Post by grahamb »

Tonight I'm wiring in the dual channel hall effect sensor supplied by Geartronics.
Neil says that he knows of one other DTA user (in Ireland) who has tried this feature.

Is that anyone on here? Is there anyone else using the flat shift feature with a sequential box?

i have been useing the flat shift for years on a few bikes, its very good!

when i talked to Allan about it a few months ago he said that no one was using the closed loop, i have been thinking about trying it but havent got the time at the moment! looks fairly easy to set up!

Aborted the install. The sensor isn't calibrated correctly so has to go back. Try again next week.
Consoled myself by fitting the rear wheel speed sensors instead.

I removed the two screws that held the position sensor in the gear box and oil started pissing out the two holes.

I couldn't budge the sensor, seemed glued in with sealant so I quit while I was ahead and refitted the screws and the leak stopped. I assumed that I could just remove it without any oil loss, but it is a prototype box so I'll leave it be until after Loton before I try again.
