Dta s60 + dta x dash + drenth dg400

Post by Emil »

Hello,

Whe want to build a system with a dta s60 and one x dash
We want to use à drenth dg400 sequential gearbox

Now the question:

Can you let te slected gears shown on te xdash?
And can you let the s60 interrupt the ignition?

Whe don't want to use the drenth display/controler that's why is ask this.

Greatings Emil.

Hi Emil.

Whilst I have never done this, I believe that

1. Yes selected gear is visible on the X-Dash ( lots of small rally cars use this setup )

2. Yes, DTA does provide a power cut for shifting to take place. You need to provide the ecu with a suitable signal to let it know you are changing gear for this to happen.

Does the dta ecu calculate witch gear is used?

It can either calculate gear selected via engine rpm and gearbox output shaft speed, or the sequential box can provide the signal to tell it which gear it is in.

driven wheel speed can also be used vs engine rpm, although there are some bugs there due to be fixed.
