Re: Launch by time
but why do you need launch by time if you are allowed a wheel speed sensor? Just use normal launch.

Re: Launch by time
Because the current launch by speed isnt flexible enough because its only offering a fixed slip rate which is not sufficient.Rob Stevens wrote:but why do you need launch by time if you are allowed a wheel speed sensor? Just use normal launch.
A workaround would be using a baseline rpm ramp which in this case is rpm vs time.
As said, a programmable rpm/speed/slip target throughout launch would be better as well as a programmable boost ramp during launch, although this can be trickier to maintain as there would be a lot of cuts during the launch period. But it can be done.
Also, for vehicles with a speed sensor, having launch automatically activate say below 2mph and over 40% throttle ( variables ) is easier as the driver doesnt have to remember to do anything, or press any buttons.
And launch strategy should also de-activate should throttle drop below a threshold or say the clutch/shift is activated.
Just in case say it bogs and you try to get it going again, so you arent forced to run out the duration of a pre-programmed launch period.
Re: Launch by time
Tried and tested Launch Control by Elapsed time,.
I filled all RPM ,Time and pot volts , Launch button press and you can see on screen that it's activated to the initial RPM. Hit accelarator and Engime holds on limit.
But as button is released you can see Real time values working but engine won't limit. ie Engine is not reponding the Rpm values you see at Real time values

Re: Launch by time
I have the same problem.
As soon as the button is released, the speed goes into the normal rpm limiter while the realtime values show the desired values. The switch light also flashes as long as the program (5 sec) is active as desired.
Changes of the startlinerpm with the potentiometer works correct.
Is there a solution for this ?
LaunchControlSettings:
Launch on: check
Shiftlight flash when active: check
set Lauch RPM with Poti: Check
Activate Launch by elapsed by Time: Check

Re: Launch by time
Make sure the Minimum RPM is lower than the values you have in launch by time.
Re: Launch by time
is working now, Cutpattern was required
