Hi all Just a question but is there a way of rasing the idle rpm a little bit on start up. Once its warm its got a perfect idle it just sounds like it needs a little help from cold.
I dont have a idle control valve its just running 4 TBs.
It starts well from the cold start map. Sorry if thisnis a stupid question.
Thanks

Re: Starting Idle
Under Idle Controls - RPM vs Temps and use Advance for idle control as opposed to IAV. I believe that should work. One question though - when selecting 'use advance' certain figures turn RED - why / for what reason?

Re: Starting Idle
Set a warm idle with relatively low advance.
Then when cold use higher numbers to achieve a higher idle speed

To indicate that they are now ignition related, not IAV related.katana wrote:Under Idle Controls - RPM vs Temps and use Advance for idle control as opposed to IAV. I believe that should work. One question though - when selecting 'use advance' certain figures turn RED - why / for what reason?
If you have 100% max duty, and then turn on ignition based control, you now have 100 degrees max advance.

Hi all Thanks for replys.
My warm idle is at 10 degrees BTDC so will is there places to change this in idle control settings. Sorry away from pc

Re: Starting Idle
As your warm idle is 10, open the throttle a little so that the engine needs 4 deg, the system will work much better then
