Re: Motec Universal Crimper
OK, but on that T10 the round bit looks oval, thats not right? can you post a close up of your T10 jaws and also of a pin that you have crimped using it?

Re: Motec Universal Crimper
I doubt you will find a hex crimper like for a bnc go small enough, even ones for RG174 are much too big a hex.stevieturbo wrote:I havent tried the T18 against a pin, but I know from looking at it, the round bit in the crimper is massive
Although had been thinking about some of the many hexagon crimpers you see online, would they be any use ? For BNC style plugs, some of them jaws for regular ratchet crimpers go down very small

It was this one looked really small...but as you say, the Motec/DTA pins are really really small

A & B cavities are both round, B cavity is the correct size for superseal 1.0.

Re: Motec Universal Crimper
This seems to be going no where so I decided to bite the bullet and order a T10 from Racetronix, tool cost $30, Postage $46 ! £51 all in, may or may not have to pay some import duties. If it's any good then it will be worth it!

Re: Motec Universal Crimper
I had £12 duty to pay on the T18...oddly it came through local post office rather than Parcel Force which USPS international stuff usually does.
At least meant PF didnt charge their usual £13.50 extortionate handling charge !

Re: Motec Universal Crimper
My T10 crimp tool arrived today and I've just crimped my first pin with it. It's made a lovely job of it, picture to follow soon!
