Cam sensors aren't great at cranking speeds.
Make sure the sequential injection only starts above say 1500 RPM.

Re: Unknown crank sensor error
Only use the fuel pump circuit to trigger your ignition relay. Not actually provide the power for the ignition.c2turbo wrote:So I have change the way way I am picking up the cam input and it seems to be more stable with only one pulse per rotation. attached is the crank diag .
what is the best way to determine the cam sensor position in Degrees ?
What should I set the flywheel mode to 26 - 34 ?
Alex and Steve thanks for your help, it is great to know that after 10-12 years of having my s80 it is still one of the best choices I made on the car it has been rock solid through out all the changes I have made through the years and the support has been top notch.
Alex I will rewire the ignition circuit to run of the same relay as the primary fuel pump with 12 coils at 5-8 amp per I am a little concerned the pumps are 18 amp draw with a startup draw up to 40 amps but are on separate 70amp relays.

Although IMO once things are running right and tuned, the coils sparking/coughing on startup should be all but gone anyway.
