Honda F20C crank sensor wiring.

Post by Gadgetman »

Just a sanity check, really, as the diagram in the S80 pdf, doesn't seem to quite tally with the original S2000 production loom.

The S80 instructions give:

1 Signal
3 Sensor Grnd
3 Shield

On the Honda connector, there is a screened coax with the screened core going to pin 2, and the screen stopping short, whilst there is a white wire (ground) and a brown/yellow wire (logic ground) on pins 1 and 3.

First question, do I carry on and ignore the sequence in the DTA instructions and match signal to signal?
Second question, do the remaining two wires simply common up at the ecu end and connect to pin 21, sensor ground?

Thanks in advance!

If you have a post 2005 F20C then the DTA wiring diagram is wrong, it's only for earlier/AP1 engines - it uses the earlier K20 type crank trigger and sensors, but mirrored.
There's some differences with water temp sensors, etc, too.
