Problem dta s40

good afternoon, I am about to finish the construction of a racing car, to which I made a custom harness with ecu dta s40. well I have 2 problems, 1, I can't connect from the pc to the ecu, I have com 1 well configured I think, but.... and 2, is that we have turned on the car, but it doesn't turn on, and We do not know if it is because the crankshaft pulse signal is missing. ps: the fuel pump relay must be activated when making contact? or only when starting? thanks and good day

Does the fuel pump prime on key on ? This will indicate at least the ecu is alive, and the fuel pump circuit is wired ok.

How are you connecting to the ecu ?

the fuel pump works through the ecu, in the relay there is 12v and the negative signal should be through pin 1 of the ecu, but it also comes out positive. bad wiring? bad ecu?

It may appear positive 12v when the fuel pump trigger is off.

That's just how transistors work.
