We have a 2004Suzuki hayabusa, came with the DTA on it as a runner. The problem is at times it will not start no matter what I try. Thought it was fuel but checked that off. Seems at times there is no spark. I noticed even with a battery charger on it and it turned over very well, the voltage showing in the ecu dips to 10.2 volts.
Is this below some thresh hold the ecu needs to see.
I know stock Busas will do the same thing with low battery voltage. Turn over well but no spark.
S-80 starting trouble.

Re: S-80 starting trouble.
my recommendation would be to get the pc software and lead if you don't already and check if the ecu is 'synchronising' whilst cranking, this status will be found in the 'diagnostics' page. This will help point to the next thing to look at. I run a bussa and when it was a 1600 with 15:1 CR 24v was essential for it to start. Now its supercharged and will start on 12v but with 24v it starts instantly.

Do what Rob says...
But if you think it has no spark....check for spark

Re: S-80 starting trouble.
Another thing to check is the cam sensor - known to be flaky on Busa's!

Good shout, early busa is a 8+1 later changed to 24-1 to aid starting

Re: S-80 starting trouble.
So, changed the 12 volt feed and that helped, and then today while adding fuel down low it started to run ragged, now I have spark, but no injector signal??
Changed cam sensor and just ran test per manual on crank sensor and it is identical to a spare I have.

Re: S-80 starting trouble.
Can you clarify the cam sensor is being used? either check the software or disconnect when running.
Why were you adding fuel?
Sounds more like poor wiring to me.

I ohmed wiring from ecu to injectors and it checked out. Where in software can I check on cam sensor? And sometimes it starts and other times, nothing---
