out of the millions of lc1's sold there probably isnt 'that' many go wrong. i have 2 for my v6, unfortunately after a few weeks one is dead! so 50/50 for me.

The problem maybe isnt so much LC1 Specific...more Innovate in general.

They do create more faulty sensors than any other wideband. Their wiring, voltages, grounds, offsets...whatever you want to call it also seem more prone to problems than most other units.

I tested an MTX on a friends car with Motec. Even with the MTX output flatlined, the Motec was seeing voltage swings of almost 0.5v !!

So then using these analogue signals to display an AFR for the user...can be risky. Even more so if they try and display a wide range of AFR's using a narrow range of voltages, so any small offset will make a big AFR change on the display. Basically built in inaccuracy.

At least the MTX has a built in display that doesnt rely on those same analogue outputs.

My biggest gripe with the LC-1 was the PITA wiring of stupid LED's and Switches. WTF.

Most other makes are a simple add power and go.
