hi I built this turbo elise after the geotech charger was found to be slipping I used custom pistons and rods the k series block is reinforced with studs not stretch bolts and dowled to stop block flex by turbo technics
I only run low boost with a high c/r and small turbo , I have kept all pipe work to a small diameter added a charge cooler a motor bike t body and side mount air cooler
the engine has 3 oil coolers one for the turbo oil one for the engine ( front mount ) and a water / oil cooler that acts as a thermostat
exhaust is all custom built
these are old photos the car is finished now and far far better than I expected but require,s remapping when run in ,sadly the car got damaged but will be ok with a new clam

Re: remote turbo elise
that looks great, im thinking of doing something simmilar. space at the front of the engine doesnt look enough for a turbo.
is that a std manifod with a turbo flange on the end of it then?
cheers

Re: remote turbo elise
it has a small charge cooler built unto the manifold but on its own it was not enough when it had the supercharger temps rose quickly but off boost they did come down , so with the turbo I increased the charge cooler , fitted a better pump and yes fitted a escort intercooler , the side mount inter coolers are not that effective hence belt and braces its just to help and gives a good rtn path to the t body I found the manifold cooler leaking so have bypassed it but will take it out altogether its not required , being rear mount I do not see high temps at present but I intend to increase the boost when remapped and the r/r will show up how effective the system is .
