I have a S80 Pro in my Volvo, and was wondering if closed loop ambda corrections are being applied when running without the laptop connected.
The manual is a bit unclear about that, but if I understood it right, the corrected values are being applied on key cycle.

I see, but how does that affect the ecu when the coils are not connected? Are the outputs always active even if it does not see an input from a crank sensor?

I have experienced this too. Key on for 5 minutes without starting engine. Suddenly my wasted spark coil started misfiring on one bank. Got a new one from dealer, but they also said that if you leave key on for longer periods of time the coil might burn. Maybe i should wire mine through FP relay asw...

Hi! I have a S80Pro that i used on the bench yesterday to get geadings off a water temp sensor. I noticed that the ecu got extremely hot. So hot that i could barely lay my hand on it. Is this normal?
