Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

Rob: I will try this when I get the time and report back to you. Stevie: No, it's random. At cruising it might feel like it's misfiring with the same intervals, but I can not confirm it. No crank errors. I have driven the car, and the counter did not increase when the misfire happened. I found a log...

Re: Injector dead times and opening times

I did use that function in the end. Ended up on 0.66ms@13v which is where the car idles at. Thanks for reminding me :)

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

Sorry to bring up this thread from the dead. The MOT ran out so the car has been parked since I was active here last. Then life happened, and the car has just been waiting for me in the garage. I have now redone the trigger wires for the coil. They were terminated weirdly in the ECU connector. No di...

Injector dead times and opening times

Hello everyone! I've got a set of Siemens Deka 630cc that I need to put in the dead time values for. On siemensdeka.com , I see that they specify a Turn on time @ 14VDC: 1.14ms and Turn off time: 0.85ms @ 600KPa But on the website I bought the injectors from they specify a dead time with battery com...

Re: Where to buy quality wires

Will 0,75mm2 be enough to power a coil for example? Seems a bit thin to me.

Locally I can only get 0,75mm2 or 1,5mm2 RKUB cable. Nothing in between. 1,5 does not fit in the connector. Maybe it fits if I get one with thinner insulation.

Where to buy quality wires

I recently had to replace a wire on my S80 ECU. But I could not for the life of me get the pin inserted into the housing. Turn out the insulation on the wire was too thick and did not allow the pin to seat fully. I did some Googling and found that 18AWG/0,75mm2 is the largest wire to use in the conn...

Re: Wheel speed signal and target shape

This is good info. I plan to get ABS struts from a newer model of my car and use that.
Gadgetman: Smart setup :)

Re: S100 Aux 8 shift light output

If you use a pull up resistor in this case, could you simply connect the resistor between the anode and cathode (+ and -) on the LED, and the problem is solved? Or have I misunderstood the concept of this? You don't want the ground in the S100 to "float", so you give it a positive, until t...

Re: Feedback requested - changed server up again!

I gave it a quick go. I can send you a folder with this simple design if you want :)
I tried using some of the colors on dtafast's site, and make it look kinda similar. What do you think?
