Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
Still haven't got around to doing this, been too busy repairing other parts, fixing some design issues with the rear hubs, fitting new seats, and errr, flying? https://i.imgur.com/RToXBFs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Bawsyy2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5mNNYyS.png https://i.imgur.com/u7YSCGz.jpg https:...

Re: DTA T8 -Davies Craig EWP control
Sounds more like an airlock or the radiator isn't up to spec, even a low fan speed should keep an idling engine under control. I can idle mine with the fans off for about 15-20 minutes and then they just need a quick burst at half speed for 30s or a minute and they cycle off again. had nothing but i...

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
Yep, that's what I was intending to use Alex, I just wanted to make sure there was some hysterisis because of the amount the revs bounce around with slip and grip all the time, I didnt want it thrashing the output on and off - 150 might be enough, I'll try it first and see.

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
Yes that's entirely what I intend to do, I'm just wondering if I can use hysterisis on the Vtec output when it's selected as a VTEC output rather than AUX3. You can do that for one input on the AUX3 page, but since when it's used on the VTEC output there's no hysteresis option on the CAM/VTEC page, ...

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
No, at the moment it just uses AUX5 - 12v+ out - to engage vtec, so there's no MAP2 switching or anything available. It's just mapped in the main map at the point it switches. Problem is with some hysteresis on the AUX5 output you have to ramp the fuel in early - and you can't change the timing unti...

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
It is using MAP as load, there's a touch of delay I think given the volume of air in the inlet tract.

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
Fine to be honest, little soft on the compression and it needs a little work on the rear kickup but I did quite a bit on that through the season, and I'm going to change the valve stacks this winter, get it off the flutter stacks in the rear compression side that those come with stock - it robs too ...

Re: Safari buggy + Rotary engine, now converting to S2000 engine
At the moment it's understeer city, but I think it's mainly the plate diff being too snatchy and the front arb is harder than ideal (I originally set the sizing based on an open diff for traction) - it doesn't help it has steering brakes and the diff overwhelms them at the moment too. Usually it's n...
