Are we talking about the serial 15 pin plug at the back of ecu opposite the 2 wiring plug connection? I assumed so. And I have the S-80 wiring and can see no pin out for that rear plug?? On the diagram for the front plugs it clearly says what side of the plug you are looking at for wire number refer...

I have never seen this procedure list, it is a bit different from the one at the beginning of this thread. All that said I still get the failed to acknowledge as soon as I open the flasher. And maybe my old eyes but I see no numbers anywhere on connector or ecu plug.

Found pin out and looks like my button is correct-- if picture of pin out is from back of the plug----

At this point I am unsure what the correct order to do all of this in.

My cable has the button and verified it works with ohm meter, verified fuel pump wired to ecu as diagram says, no matter what I do holding button fuel pump always comes on. Is there a pin out for that cable so I can be sure it is wired to correct pins?

Do you do the press flash button, then open the flasher?

Downloaded to flash software and latest firmware, have the cable with the button. having no success . First had to set proper com port, now it says load monitor error, fail to acknowledge??

I ohmed wiring from ecu to injectors and it checked out. Where in software can I check on cam sensor? And sometimes it starts and other times, nothing---
