Re: Datalog download.

Are your software on the PC and firmware for the ECU updated to the latest? I had problems also, but it got much better when I updated both.

How is your crank trigger set up? Original on top of the bell housing?

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

The engine has 2 coolant temp sensors. One for the instrument cluster, and one for ECU. It's a Bosch 0 280 130 032 which has the same characteristics as the preset 0 280 130 026 in Swin. It is indeed with a mini-timer plug as you mentioned. When looking up the sensor, I can see that there is two out...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

I don't recall any counters increasing in the diagnostics display. I will check next time i'm in the garage. The wires for air and water temp are in the same harness, and wire length are almost the same. So I don't know what would cause the water temp to fluctuate. How and where do I start my diagno...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

Went out in the garage again and did some adjustments. The attached log are from a hot start and idle. A little bit too much fueling on startup on this one, so I revved it to clear it up. Min duty for IAC was increased to prevent adjustments. Fixed ignition advance at idle, since that got messed up ...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

I took a look in the ignition map, and something has happened there. Most likely my own fault when adjusting fueling. Ignition should be 14 degrees on idle, but one cell was set to 28 degrees. 3 wire idle valve is installed, and wokring good. I can try to disable it to test if it might be that one c...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

The misfires can be felt when driving. Since the MOT hase gone out on the car, I can not test at this point in time. Previously the car was bucking when driving, because of the misfires.

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

I took the plugs out. Didn't find my feeler gauges. The gaps looked a little bit small, so I opened them up a bit, but the misfire is still there. I shot a video of the engine, and you can both see and hear the misfire at 35s and 45s. Link to YouTube: https://youtu.be/FMPw8NQ_y1o Also, Closed loop i...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

I have attached 2 logs. About 20 misfires in each log. Some are noticable by ear and the car is shaking a bit. Some of them make a small subtle backfire in the exhaust. A litte pop. I tried to capture this on camera, but I will have to review the footage. Tried unplugging injectors on at the time, b...

Re: Single misfire event every 3 seconds

I don't know to be honest. If I get the time tonight, I will log again, and try to count all the misfires I can hear, so it might be easier to find a pattern. I can not make it miss like this on purpose. Valve clearance was inside allowed spec when rebuilding the engine. If anything it should be on ...
