Thanks, I assumed the USB would provide the power, will now wait until car is running to set up the dashboard and go back to trying to understand the data logging details.

A very simple question. Do you need the dash connected to the ECU in order to send a configuration from the PC. Manual doesn't say so but cannot get PC to recognise that dash is connected.
Thanks for any help. I suspect there will be several basic questions tome.
