Re: Lotus Twincam

Hi Mark,

Pretty sure you'll need to remove one tooth, to give a 36-1. Because the T ECU can add an offset, I don't believe it matters which tooth you remove. Refer to the manual as there's a handy drawing showing how the missing tooth position is determined.

Re: hall effect sensor

I've used various hall sensors for wheel speed sensors and some have needed a minimum of 8v, so I fee them 12v; the output is usually still a 0-5v signal. Have you considered using a magnetic two-wire sensor for the crank; there must be a reason all the bike engines do it this way - is it a more rel...

Re: T8 ECU Injector wiring

Hi,
Run the injectors individually - at least if you then in the future wish to run it sequentially, they're already wired correctly.

Re: S100 shift cut timeouts

John, Can you post up a screen shot of your shift cut settings? Are you running closed-loop? It's perhaps not enough timing retard. Ideally you need to do some high-speed logging of the relevant functions to see what's going on, but upshifts should be the easy ones to set up - so long as the gearbox...

Re: DTA T2 - Race Technology Dash2

Hi Aled,
Have you tried swapping round the two CAN wires - perhaps they're back-to-front?

Re: lambda T2 ecu

Hi,
Your pin-outs seem to match the wiring diagram - have you ticked the "internal lambda" box in the sensor configuration / lambda sensor page?

Re: T4 TWIN 5v Output

supply/output are the same. You are correct; the +5v line is to power sensors (such as TPS, gear position, hall effect crank/cam sensors etc).

Re: T8 and a 6 cylinder Bosch coil pack

As there's no cam sensor fitted StevieT, sequential wasn't really being considered on this installation.

Re: T8 and a 6 cylinder Bosch coil pack

Finished off the dyno loom today and tested it out on the bench; The coil wiring did end up matching the info from Motorsports Electronics site; whereby channel 1 fires the 3rd coil, input 2 fires the 2nd coil and input 3 fires the first coil. Neat function in TWin that allows you to check individua...

Re: T8 and a 6 cylinder Bosch coil pack

Thanks Katana, I did find that one, and although not the same coil-pack, was a bit helpful. Stevieturbo - yes, likely will have to rig it up on the bench (with the T4) and test individual outputs. The loom is going straight to the engine-dyno man once I've finished it so I want the confidence it's g...
